Summer has finally arrived and there are many exciting events and festivals happening in Denton County this month that you should make plans to attend! From music and parades to local brews and fresh produce, take a look at all the fun events we can get you to in June.
Denton Twilight Tunes (Every Thursday until June 22)
The Denton Main Street Association’s Twilight Tunes is a free, award-winning concert series in downtown Denton each Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting April 20, 2017, and running through June 22, 2017. Come down to the Denton courthouse lawn every Thursday to enjoy live, local music. Ride Denton Connect Routes 7 and 8 to the Denton square to enjoy great music. Denton Juneteenth Celebration
The Denton Juneteenth Celebration is a free two-day festival at Fred Moore Park celebrating African American heritage and culture. It will be held on Friday, June 16 and Saturday, June 17. People will be able to experience great music, sports tournaments, parade, cook-offs and more at the celebration. Festival goers can ride Denton Connect Route 2 to get to all the fun and festivities. Best Little Brewfest in Texas
The Best Little Brewfest in Texas is a craft beer festival in Old Town Lewisville that will be held on Saturday, June 17, starting at 3 p.m. More than 50 craft breweries from all over Texas will be present with more than 100 handcrafted brews to serve thousands of beer lovers. Event goers can ride the A-train to Old Town Station and take a quick walk or transfer to Lewisville Connect Route 22 to get to all the festivities. Denton Community Market (Every Saturday until November)
The Denton Community Market is a producer-only farmer’s and art market that takes place at the Denton County Historical Park. The market features live music, kid’s activities, local farmers, local artists, food trucks, and more! The Denton Community Market will occur every Saturday from April to November 2017 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ride Denton Connect Routes 7 and 8 to experience the freshest foods from Denton. Sounds of Lewisville Concert Series
The “Sounds of Lewisville” concert series is a free, summertime family event in Old Town Lewisville held in June and July. Performers include some of the top musical acts in North Texas.
